Features

Pre-flight checks that tell the truth.

No invented numbers. Every result comes from your actual file and the size you plan to print.

Real pixel analysis

Reads actual width, height, format, file size, bit depth, colour profile and any embedded DPI tags. Missing metadata is reported as missing.

Effective DPI calculator

Enter your print size in inches or centimetres. We divide real pixels by real inches, per axis, and explain what it means.

Transparency inspection

Measures every pixel’s alpha. Flags solid background boxes and semi-transparent areas that DTG and DTF struggle with.

Garment previews

See your artwork on white, black, a transparency grid or any garment colour, inside the exact print-area ratio.

Presets & real export

Place artwork on a 300 DPI canvas with transparent padding or controlled cropping. Export PNG, JPG or WebP with DPI metadata.

Batch processing

Pro: drop up to 20 files, apply one preset, get a verdict per file and a single ZIP download.

Private by design. Your artwork is processed locally in your browser. We store your account, usage counts and (Pro, opt-in) metadata-only history. Never the original files.

FAQ

Straight answers.

Still unsure? Read our privacy policy and terms.

Can PrintReady Pro increase my image’s DPI or add detail?

No, and we won’t pretend to. Exports can enlarge artwork with standard resampling to fit a preset canvas, but that never creates new detail. We always show the real detail level alongside the nominal export DPI. This is not AI upscaling.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Analysis, previews and exports happen in your browser. Our server only receives usage counts and, for Pro users who opt in, metadata such as file name, dimensions and verdict. Never the artwork itself.

Why does my 300 DPI file fail?

DPI metadata is just a label. What matters is pixel count at your print size. A 1200×1200px image tagged 300 DPI is only 4×4 inches at 300 DPI. Print it 12 inches wide and it’s 100 DPI.

Are the presets official printer specifications?

No. They’re convenience presets based on common print areas (for example 12×16 and 16×21 inches for DTG fronts). Always confirm the exact template with your print provider.

How do the free limits work?

Free accounts get 4 successful checks and 2 processed downloads per UTC day, one file at a time. Limits reset at 00:00 UTC and are enforced on our server.

What does “fair use” mean on Pro?

Pro ($2.99/month) includes unlimited standard checks and exports for normal individual use, with a generous daily ceiling (500 checks, 300 exports) to prevent automated abuse.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Stripe billing portal from your account page. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
